MONU Illuminating Primer review

Summer is here, and incase you haven’t heard, here in the UK at the moment we’re having a bit of a heatwave. It’s amazing, but in regards to makeup it can leave a few issues. A couple of those can be how can we stop makeup from melting off your face, or how to get a nice summer glow. Thankfully, the product I’m reviewing today is here to solve both of those problems.

MONU Illuminating Primer

The MONU Illuminating Primer promises to leave you with smooth, illuminated skin, minimised pores and blurred blemishes. It can be used alone or under makeup to extend the life of your makeup throughout the day.

It contains Mica to create a natural looking glow, Blackcurrant Seed Oil which includes essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6 to maintain the the skin's barrier function and to regain moisture balance, Vitamin E to soothe and to fight free radicals, Zinc Oxide for sun protection (which is SPF15), Hyaluronic Acid for moisture, Cassia Alata Leaf extract for anti-ageing and on the flip side, it is free of parabens.

It comes in a white and grey pump lid bottle that holds 50ml of product, and also a travel size squeeze tube that holds 30ml (which I picked in a previous Latest in Beauty box). The product itself is a thick, almost mousse-like white cream.

Wonderland Makeup Studio Finish Primer review

Hey guys! Today I’m going to be writing about a product that I’ve been wanting to review for months now, but just haven’t been able to schedule it in. Now, I have managed to, and I can finally post about it. Hurrah!

Wonderland Makeup Studio Finish Primer
Wonderland Makeup Studio Finish Primer

Wonderland Makeup is a brand that produces high quality, cruelty free products that don't cost the earth and the Wonderland Makeup Studio Finish Primer is perhaps one of their most popular products. It is a silicone based, silky smooth, oil-free primer that claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines and to hold makeup in place on the face for a flawless finish that lasts all day.

Primer may be something that some decide to skip over when applying their makeup and this may be due to a few reasons. Maybe your skin is very dry, or very oily, blemish-prone or sensitive. This primer is one for all, and should deliver the perfect finish regardless of your skin type.

It comes in a transparent tube that holds 30ml of product, and the product itself is also clear in colour but feels and looks a bit like a gel when you squeeze it out of the tube. The primer then comes packaged in a sleek, black and white box.

Avon mark. Be Blushed Stick & Big Colour Eye Pencil reviews & swatches

Hi all! So as promised, todays post is a continuation of my previous post discussing the new Avon mark. range. For the low-down on what the mark. range is, I recommend giving it a quick read first as this post is going to be focusing more on what else is new and what has been rebranded under the mark. umbrella.

So moving into the review element of this post, I'll be looking at the Be Blushed Stick first and then the Big Colour Eye Pencil afterwards.

Benefit They're Real! Tinted Primer review

Do you love having lashes that have a certain va va voom? Me too! That's why I'm super stoked to finally have myself a little sample of Benefit's new They're Real! Tinted Primer to show you all today!

Benefit They're Real! Tinted Primer

This product can be worn in two ways: on its own for natural, defined lashes, or underneath mascara for the lashes you've always wanted, without the help of fake ones.

The primer is a water-resistant, gel formula that is mink brown in colour. It also contains provitamin B5 to nourish and add softness to the lashes!

The brush is thin and almost identical to the They're Real! Mascara wand. The rounded tip allows the brush to reach even the shortest lashes with ease. It is also super flexible, meaning that it moves with your lashes for the perfect application.

Benefit Air Patrol BB Eyelid Primer review

Hi guys! I don't usually post on a Saturday, but I've had a couple of tech issues that have delayed this post. I didn't really want to delay it any further as I have other posts on the way too, so I decided that on a Saturday it would be. Anyway, on with the review!

Benefit Air Patrol BB Eyelid Primer

Benefit’s Air Patrol is described as a BB cream eyelid primer. As well as being an eyelid primer, it colour corrects and helps to protect the lids from smoke, pollutants and sun thanks to its EnviroDefend complex and SPF 20. It also has a CushionCalm tip that is made of silicone and claims to be softer than your pinkie.

So basically, it’s kind of like a combination of their other two eyelid primers, Lemon Aid and Stay Don’t Stray with some extra benefits. Lemon Aid is a colour correcting primer that comes in a creamy compact whereas Stay Don’t Stray is a creamy liquid formula, tinted eye primer. Being a big fan of both of those products, my excitement to try Air Patrol was at a high level. I recently acquired a sample of it and that is what I will be discussing with you today.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer review

Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer is a lightweight, invisible makeup base that claims to leave your makeup looking “fresh and colour-true all day”.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer

It contains vitamins A, C and E to protect the skin from environmental stresses that have an ageing effect on the skin. It also comes in oil-free, radiance, radiance bronze, SPF, hydrating and mineral versions.

The primer itself is of a creamy, gel-like consistency that is off-white in colour, but applies transparent.

There is a lot of hype and love around this primer, so when Birchbox gave its subscribers the opportunity to sample a Laura Mercier product in their April box it was a no-brainer for me to choose the Foundation Primer

Benefit Lemon Aid review

Benefit's Lemon Aid is a yellow-tinted colour correcting eyelid primer. It helps to reduce the look of reddy-purple dark circles around the eyes and can be used alone or under makeup as an eyeshadow and/or concealer primer.

Benefit - Lemon Aid

I suffer from dark circles. I'm a mother - sleep is a rare blessing! Any product that claims to help reduce the appearance of that tired, sleepless look is going to catch my attention. What better type of product to discuss on a blog that provides beauty reviews for mums and busy women?

So what's the claim?

Benefit say that this primer will “wake up your eyelids” and that “in a snap, eyes look refreshed, frisky and ready for fun.”
