Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara review

Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara is a cult classic that is designed to lengthen, volumise, curl and define lashes with all-day hold. It has a patented 360 degree brush that allows you to apply the mascara with precision for the perfect, fanned out lash effect.

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara

For 2015, Givenchy have decided to re-formulate Phenomen’Eyes with a new “enhanced” formulation. The new formula now contains a triple action polymer that smoothes, coats and curls the lashes, a blend of four waxes and an amino acid coated pure pigment for intense colour. It also comes in a new, sleeker packaging.

Phenomen’Eyes comes in two different types of formulation: classic and waterproof. I have the classic mascara in shade 2 - Deep Brown which I shall be reviewing and swatching for you here.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral review

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector is one of the latest releases by Clarins as part of their Spring Garden Escape 2015 collection.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfector in Coral

It is a gel lip balm that provides a natural-looking, barely there, glossy tint of colour whilst leaving the lips looking plump and smooth.

It contains wild mango butter to prevent dehydration and to provide nourishment, moisture and comfort and shea butter to protect and nourish the epidermis for a smooth finish. In addition, it also contains a blend of natural peptides that encourage the synthesis of hyaluronic acid for deep, long-lasting hydration.

Being a huge fan of Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector, I was super excited when I first heard about the lip balm stick version. Is it as good though? Let’s find out!

Avalon Organics Strengthening Peppermint Shampoo review

Avalon Organics Strengthening Peppermint Shampoo is a gentle, natural and organic shampoo that is free of harsh preservatives and hair-stripping cleansers. It contains peppermint oil, babassu oil, aloe and vitamins that work together to strengthen hair, repair split ends and tame fly-aways.

It comes packaged in a dark green bottle that holds 325ml of product with a black flip cap lid and that is made up of 100% recycled materials. The product information is included on labels on both the front and back.

The product itself is a clear, gel-like consistency that smells of peppermint.

Benefit Big Easy review

Big Easy by Benefit is a complexion perfector that provides light to medium coverage whilst balancing moisture and controlling oil. It comes in a range of six shades from fair to deep beige that also self-adapt to your skin tone, so there are no off-colour shades. It sounds like a BB cream, but it isn’t. It’s bigger than BB cream.

Benefit Big Easy

See, it says so right there!

Along with balancing out the skin, Big Easy applies like a cream but dries like a powder. It also contains SPF 35. Overall, the clue is really in the name. It is designed to make everything easy. Exactly the sort of thing a busy woman really wants for their makeup bag!

I have been eyeing up Big Easy for a while, but I simply hadn’t had the chance to test it out. Now, however, I finally have myself a tube of the stuff in shade 02, Light, and I’m here with a review of it at last!

Benefit’s Big Easy comes packaged in a beige tube that holds 35ml of product. It contains a circus style font for the logo and other circus-y type illustrations to provide the Benefit fun factor that makes their products so recognisable and relatable.
