Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral review

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector is one of the latest releases by Clarins as part of their Spring Garden Escape 2015 collection.

It is a gel lip balm that provides a natural-looking, barely there, glossy tint of colour whilst leaving the lips looking plump and smooth.

It contains wild mango butter to prevent dehydration and to provide nourishment, moisture and comfort and shea butter to protect and nourish the epidermis for a smooth finish. In addition, it also contains a blend of natural peptides that encourage the synthesis of hyaluronic acid for deep, long-lasting hydration.

Being a huge fan of Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector, I was super excited when I first heard about the lip balm stick version. Is it as good though? Let’s find out!

Application:

To apply, you need to twist the bottom of the tube to get the balm to appear and simply glide it across the lips.

It can be worn over lipstick as well as alone.

Results:

Firstly, I feel obliged to inform you that the beautiful, sweet, candy-floss like smell from the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector is back in the lip balm version! If you have used one of the Lip Perfector’s before, then you will understand why this is a good thing!

Secondly, this balm glides onto the lips like a dream. It’s like it is simply melting onto the lips with absolutely no effort, not only leaving them feeling soft and pampered, but also leaving a subtle tint of colour.

The Coral shade that I chose is a fantastic, peachy shade that looks natural and not “in your face” kind of noticeable. It can be worn every day and will suit all types of casual occasions.

The tube itself is quite thin and compact which makes it easy to take out and about with you for re-application (which will need to happen as it isn't the longest-lasting product, but that's to be expected as it is a lip balm). It also looks and feels quite luxurious which is always a treat.

Once the balm has faded, the softening properties last. Continued use of the product provides you with softer and smoother lips over time.

Overall, I am glad to say that the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector is just as great a product as the Lip Perfector's. I think that you get a slight bit more colour out of the Lip Perfector than the balm, but the only other real difference is that the Lip Balm Perfector is a stick product whereas the Lip Perfector is a liquid product.

You can purchase a full-size, 1.8g tube of Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector from Escentual for a special price of £15.80, or £18 from Clarins.

What are your thoughts on the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector's? What's your favourite shade?
