Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Face Wash review

A good face wash is a necessity, but it can also be hard to find. Therefore, when a company claim that a face wash is "one killer cleanser", it deserves some interest!

Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Face Wash

The Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Face Wash (bit of a mouthful!) is described as exactly that. It contains Superfruit Yuzu complex, an exclusive to Soap & Glory that energises, brightens and tones the skin with its antioxidant rich formula that is pressed from Chinese citrus fruits. In addition, it also contains super-soft scrub beads to exfoliate, amino acids and vitamins to improve the appearance of blemishes as well as to improve the skins' radiance, and glycerin, which helps to soften the skin.

If that wasn't enough, this face wash is also said to be rinsed easily and it is free of drying surfactants.

I currently have a small, 30ml tube of the wash, but the full-size comes packaged in a large, plastic bottle that holds 350ml of product. The wash itself is a bright, translucent blue gel and the scrub beads are pink. It also has the typical Soap and Glory scent to it (yum!).

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder review

Do you ever have those days where your skin is just looking pretty tired and unhappy? Those kind of days where you wish that you had some sort of real life photoshop power all over your face? Well yeah, there's products that you can buy for those days (hoorah!), and one of those magic powder products is this nifty one by Soap and Glory.

Soap and Glory’s Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder is a lightweight, translucent, imperfection blurring powder that is designed to perfect your face. It contains “vision-boggling Superblur technology” and Camouflawge 3D to leave the skin looking and feeling silky smooth and retouched.

The powder itself is tinted yellow with no shimmer and can be worn alone or over makeup as a setting powder.

It comes packaged in a black compact that does include a mirror, but no applicator (so if you don’t have one already, you will need to purchase one).

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL review & swatches

Soap & Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL lip gloss is a hydrating, ultra-glossy, lip-plumping colour. It contains LIPSWELL natural oil infusion and 3XL-PEPTIDE PLUMP that has been shown in tests to support fat cells, boost the levels of hyaluronic acid and to provide a cushioning lip-plumping effect.

It comes in a range of five shades, including one clear gloss. I picked myself up the shade Cherry Up which is a nice, bold pinky-red with a hint of sparkle.

I understand that lately there is a big thing about plumped up lips (thanks to Kylie Jenner who has even admitted that her lips are the way they are due to injections). However, I don't want the fact that I am reviewing a plumping lip gloss to come across as if I am endorsing a trend in which people are hurting themselves for bigger lips. Whether you have big lips or small lips, you are beautiful and you do not need the latest trend to dictate whether you are or not. Stay safe, kids, and don't be stupid!

What's in my Makeup Bag - Casual out and about

I know that a lot of people do these ‘What’s in my handbag/makeup bag’ posts, but what I wanted to show you guys is the makeup that I take with me when I’m going out for the day with my family. This could be out shopping or for lunch - I’m talking casual occasions.

Being a mother, I don’t really have any time during the day for touch ups anymore. Especially when out with my family! In fact, it can be difficult to get through a meal without having to stop every two seconds to either pick up a dollop of food or a toy from the floor or to wipe little mans mouth. My food likes to go cold and then gets eaten quickly in the seconds that I have whilst little man is busy chewing his food before he demands his next spoonful.

Now if you can imagine that (and if you’re a mum I am sure you go through the same!), you can understand why makeup touch ups aren’t really high up on my list of priorities anymore. That is why I love products that last a long time and keep me feeling fresh and on point throughout the day without the use of touch ups.

However, if touch ups are required it means that for me, they have to be as quick and easy as possible. This is why I wanted to share this ‘What’s in my makeup bag’ post - for any mums out there and women who generally don’t have time to touch up, I’d love to compare out and about products!

Here is what I take with me, unceremoniously spread out onto my bed:

Soap & Glory Dr Spot

Want to clear spots fast?

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a photo that I posted of one of my little hauls featuring this product.

The box in that photo was my second tube bought in preparation of my first tube running out (which isn’t happening soon, but I wanted to stock up whilst Boots were offering 3 for 2).

I think that now is the time though to provide you all with a review of the one and only: Soap & Glory - Dr Spot.
