Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder review

*
Hey guys! Today I’m going to be discussing a product that I’m sure you have all heard of as it’s a bit well known (with good reason).

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder

The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder is the reformulated follow up from the classic HD Powder, making this the 4k-ready powder upgrade from the predecessor. It promises to create a soft mattifying effect on the skin but with a luminous finish, whilst at the same time blurring pores, fine lines and minor imperfections and giving your face a flawless finish (but of course you are all flawless already, remember that). It contains silicone powders, silica, synthetic mica and also hyaluronic acid to smooth the complexion but also prevent it from drying.

It comes in 3 different shades for different skin tones. Translucent, the shade I have here today, is a white powder that is actually translucent on the skin which is best suited to the paler side of the skin tone range. In the middle there is Banana, best for those with medium skin tones. And last but certainly not least, there is Peach for medium to darker skin tones.

It comes packaged in a sleek, metal, rounded-corner square tin that has a little button to open the lid. There is a mirror inside but no applicator, so you will need something to apply it with. The powder itself is very fine and silky.

Mizon Enjoy Vital-Up Time Soothing Mask review

*
Hey guys! We’ve had some terrible weather here in the UK lately, and even though I’ve heard rumours about more bad weather on the way, right now the sun is out (albeit still cold out) and we can attempt to enjoy what is supposed to be spring. It’s time to heal up winter damaged skin and step out with a spring-ready glow. I selected to review today’s product as a first step to doing just that! Plus, it's from a Korean brand, and we all know how good Korean beauty products are, amirite?

Mizon Enjoy Vital-Up Time Soothing Mask

The Mizon Enjoy Vital-Up Time Soothing Mask is a tencel sheet mask that contains lavender extract to soothe and heal the skin, as well as working to relieve issues caused by sensitive skin. In addition to lavender, it contains the Mizon "vital essence", a blend that includes Trehalose and Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise, Allantoin to help aid the recovery of any skin issues and Sc-glucan to soothe and revitalise.

It comes packaged in this funky, bright green, geometric-patterned foil sachet with the sheet mask folded up inside.

Mizon is a brand that I have tried before and the product that I used was incredible. Therefore, trying out something else by the brand was a must. Seeing as the bad weather wreaks havoc with the skin for a lot of people, myself included, I figured that this would be a great product to start with. In addition to the bad weather causing dry and sensitive skin issues, it's also been a prime time for nasty viruses going around that also cause their own issues. Let's check it out.

Davines Naturaltech Detoxifying Scrub Shampoo review

*
We focus so much on taking care of our skin and we do a whole range of practices using different products, and an example of one technique is exfoliation. Chances are that you already exfoliate your skin, own facial exfoliators, body exfoliators and so on. One of the less common products you hear about though is a hair and scalp exfoliator. Well, they do exist (and in fact, I've already reviewed an exfoliating shampoo before), and today I shall be sharing all you need to know about one that I've been trying out recently.

Davines Naturaltech Detoxifying Scrub Shampoo
Davines Naturaltech Detoxifying Scrub Shampoo

The Davines Naturaltech Detoxifying Scrub Shampoo is a lightly exfoliating, balancing shampoo that contains a hefty dose of antioxidants from the addition of artichoke phytoceuticals, and jojoba oil for shine and moisture. It promises to clarify and remove any product build up from the hair and scalp, thoroughly clean and stimulate the scalp and also rejuvenate, refresh, enhance shine, moisturise, protect from free-radicals and of course, detox the hair and scalp.

It is free from sulfates, and Davines say that the "Naturaltech [range] is a complete program of innovative solutions that target hair and scalp problems while bridging sustainable beauty practices with cutting edge technology."

It comes bottled in a plastic, dark orange/brown bottle with a flip cap lid and it is available in two sizes: 250ml and 1000ml. The shampoo itself is light green in colour with scrubbing beads inside. You could almost mistake it for an exfoliating face wash by sight.

Along with the release of the three new summer shades of the Avon mark. Epic Lipstick, which is a creamy lipstick with a built-in primer, Avon are releasing six new mark. Epic Transformer Lipstick shades which are designed to be either worn alone, or over the top of your favourite shades to create new ones.

Each shade is a sheer, metallic and/or shimmer shade and comes in hues such as gold, silver, metallic pinks and even a holographic shade packed with iridescent glitter. They are perfect for those who love to mix up their look, or for those looking to inject some excitement back into shades that have been over worn.

Out of the six shades, I have two to show you all today. I have Guilty Pleasure, a gold transformer shade, and HolograFX, which as you can probably guess is the holographic shade that I mentioned above. In addition, I have swatches of the three new Epic Lipstick summer shades in Mermaid Tale, Sweet Taffy and Fearless Fuchsia to share with you all.

If you missed my previous post featuring all of the shades of the mark. Epic Lipsticks, make sure that you check it out for all the info you may need regarding the range! Whilst you are here though, I shall give you a quick overview of what they're about.

The Epic Lipsticks are designed with a built-in primer and are super creamy for a velvet smooth application and finish. Each shade is promised to be packed with pigment and lips look airbrushed when worn.
