Avon True Luminous Velvet Lipstick review and swatches

Hey guys! So as I promised in my previous post featuring the Avon mark. 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo, I’m here with a second Avon lipstick post this week, and trust me, it’s a good one.

The Avon True Luminous Velvet Lipstick range is a twist on their original Avon True Perfectly Matte Lipstick and Delicate Matte ranges. The formula is soft matte, but with a shimmer that makes them look like velvet on the lips. Avon played around with the idea of metallic matte lipsticks with their mark. Liquid Lip Lacquer Matte Shimmer range, but for this launch it’s all about the metallic matte lip.

The range comes with 15 shades on launch and each of them promise to apply easily with no dragging, never feather or bleed and sit comfortably on the lips. Avon didn't have samples of every shade available, so sadly I only have 9 of them to show you. If I can get hold of the others, I will be sure to swatch them for you all too.

They come packaged in a matte black, rounded rectangular tube with a rose gold band around it with the Avon logo.

I recently featured a couple of other metallic matte lipsticks on the blog, so if that’s your thing, you can check out my post on the Green People Instant Lip Definer.

Avon mark. 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo Lip Line and Fill Duo review and swatches

Hey guys! I know how much you all love the Avon lipstick posts so today I am bringing the first of two in one week! That’s right! I’ll be featuring two new ranges, starting with one from the Avon mark. brand.

Avon mark. 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo

Today I shall be reviewing the new Avon mark. 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo lip line and fill duo. It’s a double sided lip stain pen that has a thin end to use as a lip liner and a thicker end to fill lips with the lip stain.

The lip stain range promises all day wear that lasts as long as you do. Avon also suggest that they will be good for blending to create ombré lip looks.

It comes in a range of 8 shades, but today I only have the one to show you in the shade Make Me Up.

It comes packaged in a thin, black felt tip pen casing with a cap on each end for the pen nibs. It has a little bit more weight than you’d expect, but it’s not heavy to told.

Green People Instant Definition Lip Crayon review and swatches

Matte, metallic lipsticks seem to be having a bit of a thing at the moment. Some are loving it, some are hating it. Personally, I’m loving it, so I already have a few. Today I shall be showing you a couple of metallic matte lipsticks from a natural beauty brand that I’ve spoken about on the blog before.

Green People may be better known for their natural skin and hair products, but they do also have a makeup line. Part of their lip range is the Green People Instant Definition Lip Crayon, a natural, mineral lipstick that comes in pencil crayon form. There is a range of three metallic matte shades and all are suitable for eczema prone skin and sufferers of psoriasis. All Green People products are free from a whole array of ingredients, including SLS, SLES, parabens and propylene glycol.

The shade range is small, but today I have two of the three colours of the Instant Definition Lip Crayon to show you. Blossom is a soft, metallic matte blossom pink, and Sangria is a metallic matte, dark, copper red. They’re not actually advertised as being matte shades, but when you apply them (especially if you blot them) then they are nice, soft mattes.

Each shade comes in a shiny, black, chunky pencil form with a black cap to match. The end of the pencil shows the shade.
