Hey guys! Today I'm going to be sharing with you a brand new product launch from Blistex. Blistex are a brand that focus on creating lip balms and today they are launching their new range; the Blistex Lip Infusions.

Blistex Lip Infusions range: Soothing, Hydration and Nourish
Blistex Lip Infusions range: Soothing, Hydration and Nourish

Blistex was originally founded in 1947 as a family run business and today they are sold in over 80 countries. Their new Lip Infusions range features three new lip balms that are focused on particular areas. We have Blistex Lip Infusions Hydration, Soothing and Nourish

Lip Infusions Hydration is designed to have long-lasting hydrating effects and it includes hyaluronic spheres to lock in moisture, Vitamins E and F to soften and smooth and also SPF 15 to protect against UVB rays.

Lip Infusions Soothing is targeted for dryness whilst also remaining gentle on the lips. It is infused with cucumber seed oil and calendula to soothe and natural beeswax and coconut to moisturise and protect. This is the only product of the range to not include SPF.

Lip Infusions Nourish is targeted to those who are seeking concentrated nourishment for luxuriously smooth lips. It contains a ceramide enhanced formula that is blended with nutrient-enriched botanical oils, Vitamin E, natural beeswax and coconut oil for moisture. Like Hydration, it contains an SPF of 15 to protect against UVB rays.

Each of them are packaged in tubes of different transparent colours that each hold 3.7g (Hydration is blue, Soothing is green and Nourish is Pink). The lip balms themselves are all white in colour yet contain different fragrances.

I've been trying the range out for a couple of weeks, so I'm going to write about each of them briefly in turn and summarise my thoughts of the range as a whole at the end.

The Hydration Lip Infusion could probably be best described as the fruity/sherberty one scent wise. It applies easily with a very faint sheen and a little goes a long way. It has great longevity and remains on the lips for a long duration.

This lip balm does a good job at keeping the lips hydrated and it is probably the best of the bunch for every day general wear. If you don't have specific issues that you're wanting to address right now, this would work well as a preventative product.

Blistex Lip Infusions Soothing

The Soothing Lip Infusions has a very fresh (yet still sweet) fragrance. Think cucumber and watermelon. This balm can leave a slight white mask on the lips if you apply too much, so it is best to probably not go too far with it. When it isn't over-applied, Soothing probably has the closest to matte finish out of the bunch. It isn't matte, but let's rephrase to say it's the one with the least sheen. If you're the type of person who prefers a less obvious lip balm, this may be the one you want to try.

On dryness I find that it does a good job at helping to fix any issues without being incredibly heavy, sticky or glossy and as that tends to be the thing I focus on with my lip balms I do find myself naturally drawn to this one the most of the range.

Blistex Lip Infusions Nourish

If you prefer heavier, sweeter smelling balms, the Nourish Lip Infusion may be the one you want to try. It smells like sweets and it's has the glossiest finish of the range (although not overly so). This balm is most like the moisture bomb of the three which is why I feel that it's probably the heaviest.

Nourish may be better suited for winter as the extra moisture is always useful at that time of year and it may be a bit heavy for the warmer months.

And there we have it!

Overall I think that the new Lip Infusions range is a great addition to the Blistex roster. They're super affordable and yet still effective, so they're accessible for most of us who are in need of some lip care. If you're stuck choosing between them, you can't really go wrong whichever you choose. Ultimately they will all help with a variety of problems and all make great day to day lip balms that you can get hold of easily (see more info below).

My favourite of the bunch is Soothing, yet I am a little disappointed that this one doesn't also feature SPF 15 like the others in the group. If SPF is an important factor for you and you are struggling with super dry lips, you may be happier with Nourish over Hydration, whereas Hydration is the longer-lasting, day to day product of the group.

If you would like to get hold of the new Blistex Lip Infusions range then you can find them at Boots or Superdrug amongst other places.

What are your thoughts on the new Blistex Lip Infusions range? Which of the three are you most drawn to?
