Hi guys! If you're a long time follower of the blog, then you will likely know that I love a good multitasking product. That's why today, I am excited to share another one with you: the Everlasting Brows Highlighter and Concealer Duo. 

The Highlighter and Concealer Duo is a double ended pencil that on one side contains a creamy concealer and the other side contains a golden shimmer highlighter. The concealer comes in two shades (light and medium), but the highlighter is the same on both shades. 

The concealer can be used as a corrector and concealer, useful for imperfections, under the eyes and around the eyebrows to tidy. The highlighter is perfect for use under the eyebrows, cheek bones, the inner eye area and cupids bow above your top lip. 

The pencil itself is a mint green in colour with clear, plastic lids on either end to cover the concealer and highlighter. It's quite a thick, chunky pencil, around the size of similar products from other brands (such as Benefit's High Brow).

Everlasting Brows is a brand that specialises in permanent eyebrow makeup and eyebrow microblading and even trains professionals to carry out the procedures. They have an online shop that sells all of the needed tools to qualified professionals, but a couple of the products available, such as the one we are discussing today, are also great for the general public to check out. 

The Highlighter and Concealer Duo is designed with post-treatment photos in mind. After a microblading session, you can have redness that can show up in photos that either you or the beautician may want to take, or even generally be noticeable on your journey home. This pencil was designed to cover the redness without irritating the area and then also to accentuate the arch of the brow. 

The concealer side of this pencil applies quite a thick, even layer that can be blended in easily and looks natural. However, if you apply too thick of a layer, you will be facing a caking issue (you can see it in the hand swatch photo below). I find that on blemishes, it can be a little cakey on some of them and highlight them more than cover (reiterating for clarity; this doesn't happen for all blemishes), but for under the eye and brow it definitely works far better and that is to be expected of a product that was designed for that area specifically.

The highlighter side applies smoothly and evenly and I genuinely love it. It isn't as thick upon application but it can be build up if you want a strong highlight. I find it most useful for under the brows, the inner eye and the cupids bow. As a highlighter for the top of the cheekbones it can be a far slower application but due to the fact that it blends nicely too, it is doable. 

One downside of this product though is definitely the lack of shade range. I would like to see some darker concealer shades added into the mix so that it is more inclusive. The highlighter shade is a great colour for all skin tones, but as it stands, only two skin tones will currently be looking at using this until there are more options available, and that's a shame. Shade wise, the light pencil was a good match for me and I have very fair, pale skin. 

Overall, I am a fan of this Highlighter and Concealer Duo. It is great for that post-treatment tidy up and accentuating your arches. If you aren't planning on having any eyebrow appointments in the future though then you may be wondering if it's still worth it. To that I would answer yes - if you do love to put attention into your eyebrows. I don't think that everyone will feel as if they need it in their makeup bag as other products can be used for the same look, but the design of this duo definitely streamlines the process and makes the job easier and quicker. So if you put a lot of effort into your perfect brows then do check it out!
