JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub review

*
Hey guys! Last week I focused on a product that is perfect for all your upcoming Christmas/New Year parties, but today I’m going to focus on something that helps to combat dry, winter skin which is something most of us need some help with in this cold weather!

JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub

The JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub is a 98% organic body exfoliator that sloughs off dry skin and highly moisturises at the same time. It is made up of organic coconut oil and organic, fine-grained cane sugar. It can be used in either the shower or bath, as a lip scrub (in very small amounts) or without water for intense hydration.

The JAQUA Whipped Sugarcream Scrub comes in a range of fragrances to suit your mood, but the one that I have to discuss today is fragranced with Caramel Cappuccino.

It comes packaged in a white, plastic, screw-cap jar with a sticker wrapped around it containing product information. The sticker colour is different for each fragrance. It comes in two sizes, holding either 227g/8oz or 57g/2oz.

The product itself changes in appearance depending on the storage conditions or even weather. Coconut oil hardens when it is cold and becomes liquid when it is hot.

Application and Results:

To use, take some of the JAQUA Whipped Sugarcream Scrub and rub it onto wet or dry skin in circular motions before rinsing.

I highly recommend keeping this at the right temperature if possible as when it is too cold it hardens to the point of making it difficult to get out of the jar. Thanks to the cold weather we’ve had lately mine has been predominantly solidified which has made it a bit difficult to get out to use! With that said, it melts really easily in your hand, so as long as you can extract some from the jar it will melt with no problems onto the skin.

When you first rub it onto the skin you can feel the sugar, so you can tell that you’re using a scrub. However, the scrub dissolves pretty fast so it feels more like a body oil bar that you’re rubbing onto the skin. Not that this is a negative.

Once rinsed and dried I find that it leaves the skin feeling intensely moisturised alone without any body lotion. Following up with one is still a great idea for extra dry skin though as it will intensely moisturise your skin. The finish post-washing reminds me a lot of Lush’s King of Skin. It has a greasy feel to it when you use (it is oil after all) and can be hard to rinse off, but you don’t need to rinse it completely. Let it hydrate your skin.

The fragrance lingers for a long time after using. You can go to bed, wake up in the morning and still smell it on the skin. Therefore, it may be wise to think about a complimentary fragrance to go alongside it so that you don’t end up with a scent clash. Alternatively, you may want to look into the notes of your perfume if you use it daily and choose a complimentary fragrance of scrub if you want to purchase one.

Alongside the fragrance and the hydration, this scrub leaves a healthy looking glow on the skin, making it perfect for all year round. Whilst the scent of Caramel Cappuccino is probably better suited to autumn/winter, the other fragrances available such as Lemon Drop or Pink Champagne would be perfect for the summer too.

Overall, I’m a massive fan of this body scrub. I love the scent, but my favourite thing about it is how soft your skin feels after use. It doesn’t scrub off as much as you’d hope because the sugar dissolves so easily, but the oil makes your skin super soft and that makes it a top product for your beauty routine.

Product Rating: 8/10
