Perfect Formula Nail Essentials Collection review

*
Hey guys! It’s nearly Christmas! Recently I’ve covered a great face and eyeshadow palette which is perfect for all your Christmas and New Years parties as well as a winter skin saviour, and today I’m here for those of you with weak, brittle and dry nails. If you need something to strengthen and brighten nails, moisturise nails or help your nails to grow stronger in general, then today’s post is for you. It’s also a fantastic Christmas gift idea for the beauty or nail addict in your life.

Perfect Formula Nail Essentials Collection: Pink Gel Coat, Clear Gel Coat, Daily Moisture and My Favourite Top Coat
Perfect Formula Nail Essentials Collection: Pink Gel Coat, Clear Gel Coat, Daily Moisture and My Favourite Top Coat

The Perfect Formula Nail Essentials Collection is a set of four of Perfect Formula’s top nail care products. It contains the Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat, Clear Gel Coat, Daily Moisture and My Favourite Top Coat (that’s the name of the product and not me trying to be biased).

All Perfect Formula products are formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates and TPHP.

The Pink Gel Coat and Clear Gel Coat are both keratin rich formulas that are designed to strengthen and protect the nails, but the Pink Gel Coat is tinted pink and helps to brighten the nails as well. It gives the look of a French manicure.

The Daily Moisture is a jojoba-rich nail and cuticle conditioner that helps to keep the nails and cuticles moisturised and protected as well as helping to strengthen nails over time. My Favourite Top Coat is a top coat for nail polish that dries quickly and promises to ensure a long-lasting and glossy manicure.

They come packaged in a pink and white box and each of the products come in small glass bottles that hold 5ml of product. These are miniature versions and not full-size products, so it’s more of a taster pack than a bundle pack.

For this post, I have got my mum involved too as she’s a fan of nail strengthening treatments and she has tried a whole bunch of them, so I’ve sent her off to test the Clear Gel Coat whilst I’ve been trying out the Pink Gel Coat, Daily Moisture and My Favourite Top Coat.

JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub review

*
Hey guys! Last week I focused on a product that is perfect for all your upcoming Christmas/New Year parties, but today I’m going to focus on something that helps to combat dry, winter skin which is something most of us need some help with in this cold weather!

JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub
JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub

The JAQUA Caramel Cappuccino Whipped Sugarcream Scrub is a 98% organic body exfoliator that sloughs off dry skin and highly moisturises at the same time. It is made up of organic coconut oil and organic, fine-grained cane sugar. It can be used in either the shower or bath, as a lip scrub (in very small amounts) or without water for intense hydration.

The JAQUA Whipped Sugarcream Scrub comes in a range of fragrances to suit your mood, but the one that I have to discuss today is fragranced with Caramel Cappuccino.

It comes packaged in a white, plastic, screw-cap jar with a sticker wrapped around it containing product information. The sticker colour is different for each fragrance. It comes in two sizes, holding either 227g/8oz or 57g/2oz.

The product itself changes in appearance depending on the storage conditions or even weather. Coconut oil hardens when it is cold and becomes liquid when it is hot.

Bedtime Bliss Sleep Mask review

*
Hey guys! Christmas is on the way, so that means that we’re going to be not only shopping and attending parties, but a lot of us will be doing a lot of travelling over the festive period. Travelling can be tiring, but sleeping on public transport can also be difficult. On top of that, we all know that enough rest helps our skin to look fresher and true beauty comes from within, so the better we feel, it’s going to show. So with this in mind, today we will be focusing on something slightly different here on the blog in the hopes of helping out with getting the best rest during the most chaotic time of the year.

The Bedtime Bliss Sleep Mask is a contoured eye mask for blocking out light so that you can rest peacefully. It is comfortable and lightweight and is made of bamboo and cotton. The patented, contoured design means that the mask fits well over the eyes and you can even open your eyes with the mask on without any issues.

The contoured design actually means that this mask is not going to smudge your makeup if you apply it with a full face of makeup on, meaning that it is the perfect option for anyone who wants to sleep during the daytime without bright lights glaring down on them without looking like a raccoon upon awakening.

Not only is this good for travelling, but if you have a partner who likes to keep the light on for reading or working late when you need to get some shut eye, or live in a busy neighbourhood where it may be difficult to block out the external lights from outside, then this is also for you.

The mask comes in a range of 4 colours and each mask comes with a complimentary pair of ear plugs and a travel case.

47 Skin Silver Chitosan Regenerating Serum review

*
Hey guys! It's cold again, so I know that we're all on the hunt for something that is going to protect our skin from environmental damage, keep it looking youthful, hydrated and luminous as well as fighting any pesky scarring or acne. Also, if you’re a regular reader of the blog then I’m sure that you’re aware of how much I love to feature newer or lesser known brands, and I absolutely love the story behind the brand featured into today’s post.

47 Skin Silver Chitosan Regenerating Serum
47 Skin Silver Chitosan Regenerating Serum

47 Skin was only founded in 2017 thanks to an accidental scientific breakthrough. That’s right, an accident. A British scientist - who was actually working on water purification experiments - tried mixing an atom of silver with chitosan, a type of sugar that is derived from shellfish and used in medicine. This created a new formula that boasts antibacterial and protective qualities. It went on to be tested for use in skincare and it was found to be beneficial for helping acne, boosting skin regeneration properties, reducing the signs of ageing and reducing inflammation.

47 Skin was then born to get this new, revolutionary formula out to consumers. They currently sell 4 products that all include the patented formula, and today I shall be featuring one of them: the 47 Skin Silver Chitosan Regenerative Serum.

The Silver Chitosan Regenerative Serum is designed to create a protective barrier on the skin, help skin damaged by UV or environmental factors to heal, soften the appearance of scars and to regenerate surface skin cells.

It comes packaged in an orange-brown bottle that holds 30ml of product with a pump lid and a sticker on the front with product information. The product itself is white and watery in consistency. The bottle then comes packaged in a sleek, white box. The overall look of the product is minimalist yet classy.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about the science behind this patented formula, you can check it out on the 47 Skin website.
